In this talk, importance of quality improvement in NICU will be highlighted as the most important activity for each NICU to consider. The objectives during this talk will be to learn what is difference between QI, quality assurance, and quality control. Then going through a real life example of a national project of quality improvement running over past 15 years, called Evidence-based Practice Identification and Quality improvement (EPIQ), participant will gain firsthand experience of how to initiate, formulate, conduct and study a cycle of quality improvement. Participants will understand the ethos behind developing a culture of continuous quality improvement in their NICUs.
